Talk to us about any piece
This is the contact page for HJEM, the home store selling antique, reclaimed and vintage furniture online and at markets and pop-ups. Talk to us about any piece. Email, phone and WhatsApp all reach the same small team, and we reply within 48 hours.
How to talk to us about a piece
- Email: hello@hjem.uk. Best for anything with photos or links attached, or when it’s easier to write everything out in one go.
- Phone: 07548 220 217. Best for a quick question, or if you’d simply rather talk something through.
- WhatsApp: message us on WhatsApp. Best for sending a photo straight from your phone, or asking something quickly while you’re out and about.
Where to write to us
HJEM is the trading name of HJEM LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.
Email or phone is quicker for anything about a piece. If you’d rather write, our postal address is on the terms page.
What we can help with
Get in touch about any of the following, or anything else that doesn’t fit neatly into a list:
- Extra photos or a short video of a specific piece, so you can see exactly what you’d be bringing home.
- Measurements, and whether something will fit through your door or into your space.
- A delivery quote for your postcode.
- An existing order: a change, a query, or simply where things are up to.
- Styling suggestions for a room, if you’d like a second opinion on what would work.
What to tell us
A little detail up front means we can answer properly the first time, rather than going back and forth. If you can, include:
- The piece name, or a link to its page.
- Your postcode, so we can start thinking about delivery.
- Any access constraints (stairs, narrow doorways, tight parking) that might affect getting a piece inside.
- Your timescale, if you’re working towards a particular date.
When you’ll hear back
We’re a small team, so replies come from a real person rather than a queue. Expect to hear from us within 48 hours of getting in touch, often sooner. If you’ve placed an order and are waiting on a delivery quote, we aim to confirm that within two working days, so you know what to expect before anything is booked.
If something has gone wrong
Same three ways to reach us, and please say so plainly rather than softening it. We acknowledge a complaint within two working days, look into it properly, and come back with an answer and what we propose within 14. If it’s going to take longer we’ll tell you why instead of going quiet. If we can’t settle it between us, our terms set out what’s open to you next: we aren’t a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme and aren’t required to use one, so that means the courts of England and Wales.
Delivery, returns and privacy
For the fuller detail on how delivery and returns work, see our delivery and returns page. Our terms and conditions set out the basics of buying from us, and our privacy policy explains what we do with anything you tell us when you get in touch.
